An invasive pest, smaller than a dime, has the local viticulture and agriculture community doing everything they can to temper its potential impacts. KVMR News speaks with Nevada County's Agriculture Commissioner about an outbreak of glassy-winged sharpshooters after a shipment of thousands of tainted grape plants brought the insects to northern California Costcos.
The local June 2 Election Canvass will begin on Thursday, June 4th at the Nevada County Ballot Processing Center in Grass Valley, near the county airport. Anyone may observe the process. Ongoing election results can also be viewed online at NevadaCountyCa.gov.
