Finished ahead of schedule, the newly opened two lane Dog Bar bridge now sweeps gently from one side of Bear River to the other and includes a sidewalk. The 10 million dollar project was built using money from the federal Highway Bridge Program and was selected as 2026's Project of the Year in the Transportation Category by the Sacramento Chapter of the American Public Works Association.
